Today’s sermon considers the story of the Transfiguration (big churchy word for Jesus revealing the glory of God that had been within Him all along) AND places that story alongside Jesus’ lesson RIGHT BEFORE THIS about what it means to be a disciple. It is a hard lesson, and a mountaintop moment. How do we hold those two things together in life?
This year’s Youth Sunday focuses on the theme of maturity, becoming an adult and growing up in our faith—something all of us are working on every day in our journeys. Youth led the scripture readings, a skit about prayer and five of our youth gave mini-sermons that they wrote on the theme. Check them out!

This week’s sermon explores Jesus’ seemingly impossible teaching telling us not to worry and to trust in God’s care. Is there anything more difficult for us nowadays? We will explore together just how we can follow this teaching to experience more of the life God would call us towards.
