Where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. (Matthew 6:21).
Our treasures are gifts from God that we are asked to care for and generously share. While our church has many needs for funds, we must remember that stewardship differs from fund-raising. Stewardship is rooted in the need to give. Our gratitude can quickly become a matter of words unless we return to the Lord — the Giver of all gifts — a grateful share of our time, talent, and treasure. In His Sermon on the Mount, Jesus acknowledges that where we put our money, time and energy makes a difference. If we are giving what we have towards what we truly value, Jesus says we will be truly blessed.
During the month of October, you will be hearing how we as a congregation are seeking to live out our deepest held values, requiring our investment of both spiritual and financial gifts. As you consider making a pledge for 2024, and whether to increase your pledge: look at your life, the blessings you receive, and the ways that you’d like to grow as a person and as a member of our church community.
We encourage you to consider giving a gift above what you gave in 2023: for some of you that may mean pledging for the first time! Our annual budget is based entirely on pledges from our generous congregation. If we all give a gift that is meaningful to us, then we will be able to reach our goal of meeting and even exceeding our budgetary needs.
We ask that you submit your pledge for the coming year either by…..
- filling out the Estimate of Giving Card through our website linked here (NOTE: this is NOT a donation, but just a pledge of what you plan to donate to COA in the coming year)
- using a print pledge card available at worship services and returning it to the church office or in the offering plate on Sundays
- sending your pledge by email to coa_office@christouranchorpc.org
Your pledge you make is NOT binding and you can change it any time for any reason. All communication about any pledge is kept strictly confidential. Thank you–we treasure every one of you!
