This week instead of a typical sermon, a group of us did a skit as an object lesson of how we try so hard to appear “fine” and carry our own burdens, and could lighten our loads if we took the risk of trusting God more to carry them.

This month we kick off a new sermon series for stewardship month (or what we are calling Connections Month) where we “connect the dots” between faith and elements of our real lives that we might be tempted to compartmentalize away from God and church. This week we begin with the closest thing to us: our bodies. What does our faith believe about our bodies? How can we use them to glorify God? How can faith fuel us towards better health of mind, BODY and spirit?
