We kickoff off our Stewardship Campaign this Sunday with focusing on the theme of reconciliation—seeking healing and wholeness in all of our relationships as part of our offering to God (Matthew 5:23-24). We begin by using the story of Joseph to look at ourselves and God—the most personal relationship we could ever have. How does our relationship with God impact how we deal with others and vice verse?
This sermon explores the nature of hard calls and what we are to do with our blessings, through the lens of God choosing Abraham to bless “all the families of the earth”.
This sermon is the first one exploring a new lectionary that we will be using for our church called Narrative Lectionary. It goes through the entire Bible on a four year cycle (from Old Testament to New and back again), with a focus on the stories and how they all connect to make one big story of God and human beings.

This Sunday was very special because it was the day Pastor Jessie’s daughter Penny got baptized. Our community of faith welcomed her with open arms. The sermon used this occasion to reflect on how we pass on faith to our young people in a scary, divided world.
