Deacons head up the pastoral care ministry at Christ Our Anchor. They are the core support for our Pastor and they coordinate support for those with physical and spiritual needs. They also support the Session in various aspects of church life, such as the church picnic, hanging of the greens/chili supper, Shrove Tuesday pancake supper, Rally Sunday, and others events throughout the year. Stephen Ministers are members of Christ Our Anchor Presbyterian Church, and other churches in the area. They have been through extensive training and provide confidential, one-to-one Christian care to people who are experiencing a difficult time.
