A Word From Pastor Jessie
I began as the Pastor for Christ Our Anchor in February of 2016, and am thrilled to be here! I feel strongly that God was a part of bringing me and this church together. To tell you a bit about myself, I grew up in Prince George’s County with my twin sister and my wonderful parents. Now I live with my husband Jason and we have been married since 2012. I studied Sociology in college, and came to the realization that I wanted to be a minister the year after I graduated. I graduated from Princeton Theological Seminary with a Masters of Divinity Degree in 2008 and was ordained as a Presbyterian minister in 2011. I believe with all my heart that congregations play a huge role in social justice and peace.
I worked as an Interfaith Chaplain at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh, New York for three years after graduating seminary and was proud to be a part of creating a formal Pastoral Care program that ministered to everyone, regardless of faith background. It is important to me for people to know that I was raised secular. I never attended any church until I found my way into a youth group in junior high, and it has transformed my life ever since. Having many people close to me who are not church-goers helps me to ensure that I am relevant, down to earth and non-judgmental in my ministry.
A few other things to know about me just for fun:
- I have been skydiving— with my dad! I am not necessarily a thrill seeker, but I love to try new things!
- There is almost nothing better to me than good conversation over a hot cup of coffee or a glass of red wine.
- Something I really enjoy is bikram yoga, or yoga of any kind!
- I am a voracious reader (I’m on Goodreads!) and welcome any recommendations you have.
I have been met with a warm and authentic welcome at this church, and I know that if you come check us out, you will be as well!

Church Administrator: Ros Limbacher coa_office@christouranchorpc.org / office phone: 410-974-1713 – Ros has been our church administrator since December 2024. She graduated from Towson University in 2011 and is a born and raised Maryland gal. She is also our co-Christian Educator along with Lawrie Gardner. Ros and Lawrie teach Fun-Day School and had a successful first year together organizing VBS: Roadtrip!
Music Director, Adult Choir and Bell Choir: Diana Martin– Diana has been the Music Director at Christ Our Anchor since September, 1986. She is a retired Anne Arundel County high school chorus and theater director. Mrs. Martin holds a Master of Music in Vocal Pedagogy from The Catholic University of America.
