We are getting very close to Holy Week. Jesus’ journey to the cross feels more relevant and timely than ever in its lessons for all of us going through a fearful time of uncertainty and change.
I want you to be able to plan ahead. Worship during Holy Week will be offered two ways. All of the Holy Week services will include children’s time (if children are present), scripture, sermon, prayers and communion—you will have to prepare your own bread/juice (or crackers and wine!) at home, but we can join in this sacrament together virtually. ALL ARE WELCOME! The two ways of joining these services are….
1) Worship will continue to be offered through Facebook livestreaming as an option at 9:00 AM and then posted on our church website to be watched anytime. An important note: we made some technical changes that should allow those of you who do not use Facebook to still access the livestream by just going to our church page at this link. This is a work in progress, and I know Facebook is trying to make changes too to meet this huge demand.
2) An option for a full worship service over Zoom. This service is an alternative to watching the live-stream for those services that specifically offer communion—Palm Sunday / Maundy Thursday / Easter Sunday. This will allow you to see the faces of others who are joining you in this sacrament, and is particularly recommended for anyone living alone or worshiping on their own.
