Join us this Sunday as we embark on our sermon series to round out the summer: Forgotten Books of the Bible, beginning with the remarkable story of Ruth. Though often overlooked, this small book offers a powerful vision of God’s heart—a God who welcomes outsiders, creates chosen family, and calls us to lives of steadfast, devoted love. Together we’ll explore what it means to belong, how God’s grace expands our understanding of family, and how the church is called to be a community where all are welcomed home.
This Sunday we will also celebrate the Sacrament of Communion, gathering around Christ’s table where strangers become family through God’s grace. In addition, our worship will include a special liturgy marking Pastor Jessie’s return from sabbatical, as we give thanks for a season of rest, renewal, and learning and celebrate the beginning of this next chapter in our shared ministry.
