NOVEMBER 13, 2016: “What’s Next” (Post-Election Sunday)

This sermon considers the Bible’s wisdom for changing times (even scary times) and considers how the church is called to be a witness on November 9 — when the powers that be go through transition, who are we called to be in the world?

Veteran’s Day Service

Anyone in the community is invited to attend a brief worship service in honor of Veteran’s Day at 4pm on Friday, November 11th. We will have patriotic music, prayers and a time of sharing and remembrance.  The Service will be held in Christ Our Anchor’s beautiful outdoor worship area. The service will be followed by a light reception provided by our group, God’s Gardeners. No RSVP is required. Hope to see you there!

NOVEMBER 6, 2016: “Faith Come Alive” (All Saints)

All Saints Day is a day in church life when we remember two important things:

  1. Those who have gone before us have lessons to offer us.
  2. All of us as believers are called to be saints of God (which does not mean we have to be perfect, but simply faithful)

Today’s sermon explores the meaning of All Saints Day more in depth.

OCTOBER 30, 2016: Connecting the Dots…Faith and my Legacy

This week is the culmination of our church’s Connecting the Dots stewardship campaign. Today we consider together how faith affects what we leave behind us in the world; the bigger picture. Also, how do we contribute as individuals to the church’s legacy and the witness of our faith to a world that is increasingly secular?
