This sermon was considering why close, genuine relationships should be a high priority to people of faith, and what we can do to build closeness, honesty, and intimacy with other people in our marriages, families, and friendships.

and carry our own burdens, and could lighten our loads if we took the risk of trusting God more to carry them.

This month we kick off a new sermon series for stewardship month (or what we are calling Connections Month) where we “connect the dots” between faith and elements of our real lives that we might be tempted to compartmentalize away from God and church. This week we begin with the closest thing to us: our bodies. What does our faith believe about our bodies? How can we use them to glorify God? How can faith fuel us towards better health of mind, BODY and spirit?

This sermon explores the only story we have in the Bible about Jesus between child and adult—even then He did not do what we would expect. And we can learn from Him, even as a teenager!
