On Sunday August 28th, we will be unveiling
a “PRAY-Ground” in our sanctuary.
In the space by the windows, there will be a special area created with a table, bean bag chairs, mats, books, soft toys and more, intended to be dedicated to our babies, toddlers and children. Jesus said “let the children come to me”, and being a family of faith is a core value of our congregation. As such, we want to send the message loud and clear with this space that children are welcome in our worship. Other churches who have tried this (including our sister church First Presbyterian in Annapolis) have found it to be a true gift, and have been surprised at how it actually lessens the noise and distraction of children in worship by giving them things to do that are age-appropriate, yet also inviting them to experience worship alongside their families and their larger church family.
