Middle School and High School Youth Group
Youth Group for middle and high school ages meets throughout the year in separate and in combined activities and meetings at the church.
The Youth of COA are vital members of this church community with a strong involvement in local and world mission including summer mission trips within the US. Youth completing 9th grade and older also have an opportunity to join the summer mission trip to Guatemala offered by the Baltimore Presbytery.
Besides the summer mission trips, we host the "Souper Bowl" Sunday luncheon event to raise funds for My Brothers Pantry each Super Bowl Sunday. Youth Group prepares and serves at least one meal each year at Lighthouse Shelter. We host the annual Advent Fair for children ages 2-10 and also frequently support church activities and events by helping with the Nursery and childcare.
Youth group is much more than work. We enjoy faith-building and learning activities, we go on retreat weekends, we attend plays and concerts, we enjoy Midnight Bowling and "Ghost Tours" in Annapolis, and a host of other wonderful and fun things. We celebrate each other by attending our members' dance recitals, music recitals, and play performances.
Youth are vital in worship. Youth help by being Ushers and Lay Readers during services and perform with the Praise Band. We also take over Sunday worship completely by hosting an annual Youth Sunday Worship Service.
Whether member of visitor, all are welcomed into our church and into our many activities! For a look our event calendar, clock the link below.
