An Important Letter from HfA’s Director Leo Zerhusen with special requests
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
May the Peace of Christ be with you and your congregation. There are a number of reasons for sending this so please bear with me. First it is an opportunity to THANK YOU All as Church Partners for all you have done and continue to do for HOPE For All and the communities, we all serve. You are probably experiencing the same quandary that we are and how to deal with it. As this letter moves forward, will try and share some information with you and ask for some assistance if it is available or possible. PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ, PRAY OVER, AND COME UP WITH A PLAN OF ACTION. THANKS. Any questions please let me know. I am always a phone call away.
We have an urgent need for volunteer help on Sat, mornings from 8:30 a.m. to about 12:30 noon. We need teams of 4 strong able bodies to help us catch up with our deliveries. Will share with you some really staggering numbers. Must be at least 16 and have a waiver which can be found on our web site hopeforall.us. This does not have to be every week. Once or twice a month would be ideal. Hours can be used for school service hours, confirmation hours, service-learning projects, and for school ordered service hours.
We can also use at least two young adults or retired that could give us about 4 hours on a Friday. Usually, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 noon. Once or twice a month would be great.
If you can assist with these through the church or on your own, please contact Mrs. Connie Cooper at 410-766-0372 or info@hopeforall.us. As a last resort you can contact me 443-867-0977.
Here is why we can use your help. Over the past 7 or 8 years we were able to assist about 25 families a month through our Houses into Homes Project. In the last 3 years we have served 332, 362, and the year ending June 30, 2023 382 families. We were not able to reach 70 additional families in 2023. We are already behind this year by close to 90. For us to achieve this we would need to go to 38 to 40 families a month and that still may not do the job. Through our 3 programs Houses into Homes, Next Step Clothing, and Head to Toe we served around 4,200.
PRAYERS AND BLESSINGS
Leo
